As part of a Sunday funday mission with the girls
we didn't have to venture far to check out the LA FAD Show (fashion, art, and design), a special collaboration market between The LA Girl & the weekly Arts District Flea Market. The Arts District, near our neck of downtown, is a super vibrant neighborhood characterized by all sorts of...well...street art! It's a painter's playground.
Walking into the The Arts District Flea, you realize it's not your typical flea market. You won't see random old house junk or ratty clothes on display, but rather unique jewelry, crafty handmade items, well-made clothing, carefully selected vintage and antique goods, paintings by and design by local artisans, and original photography. It gave me an artsy Brooklyn-esque vibe as we browsed through the booths jamming to all the DJ's tunes, from Michael Jackson to Jeremih, unexpectedly letting the dollars fly when we spotted gems that we just needed in our lives.
It was like a real life Etsy marketplace, which, considering my obsession with Etsy, was such a delightful shopping experience.
The LA FAD show specifically was a one time partnership, but the Arts District Flea in general is open is open each and every weekend from 11:00AM to 7:00PM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at:
453 Colyton St
Los Angeles, CA 90013
